Instead of 18 Re1, you should have played 18.Rxe8 Rxe8 19. Qxe8 Qd8 20. Qxd8 Kxd8. You're up a rook and a bishop.

I played this game vs an opponent and though I DC'd near the end of it I figured I would post it anyway, I think the reason I managed to win this game was while my opponent was playing a pawn structure game which delayed his castling and development, I was developing all of my pieces and castling leading to great control of the center and a pin which won me a minor piece.
My response move would have been to trade queens. But I disconnected :(
