Good game! Perhaps white should have exchanged queens on move 17. Of course it is always easier to play other peoples games! Powerful finish by Black.
Great opening bij ArjanA, respect for my Dutch friend! A great endgame proves to be decisive though, a quality that surely seperates the 1900+ players from let's say 1500-1900 players.
nice game. White began great but ran out of ideas in the end game. great play by black, though. Think I would have exchanged queens aswell, but then i probably wouldnt have got that far :) well played both
Endgame's the thing
sorry but the knight is not stronger than the rook.
your endgame is stronger than a 1500's.
when he began munching on random pawns and allowing you to break off IMPORTANT pawns that held together his pawn structure, that let you win.
not the knight vs rook endgame. Just a masterful endgame.

I am very proud of this game. I feel that though my opponent is lower rated than me he outplayed me in the middle game and had a decisive advantage. I believe this game is a great lesson in defense and endgame technique I hope you enjoy it.
