Look, I’ve only been playing chess for two years, but even I know d4 isn’t some cheat code to enlightenment. It’s a strong opening, yeah, but saying it’s “better than everything” like it’s gospel? Come on, Kent. You were 800 rating talking wild, got a little elo bump, and now you’re preaching? Relax. Let folks enjoy the game without acting like you wrote My System.

Okay okay. If you want to talk about chess in OTF, let's get this over with quickly. Openings are a matter of taste, pick an opening that puts you in a position to succeed. (don't take that out of context 😬) Saying that one opening is 'better' than another without relating it to one person's strengths is just incorrect. I personally prefer playing 1.d4, but that doesn't mean you have to.
