1. d4 openings for beginners. ( solid types )

i am a 1. d4 player and play the london, i am kind of getting bored and feel like i want to switch to something else. Any recommendations?

I'd say give the Queen's Gambit a go ... it's deep and varied enough to give you a lifetime's worth of learning ...

Play e4 if you’re bored. So many play 1.d4 despite the fact that they want to be active/agressive players. 1.d4 is for slower play, e4 is an exciting tactical battle

I dont think that the Queen’s Gambit is good for beginners. Somebody mentioned in my other forum it is only better for 1400-1700 rated players..

Queens gambit is all level friendly. If you want a new d4 opening then the Catalan system might be a good opening.

learn some tricky lines against the king’s Indian (f3) and dutch (early g4)

Queens gambit is a good option, if you want something that’s different but still similar to d4/c4 then you could try the reti.
