uh e4 in my opinion
1. e4 or d4?
Its good to know both the d4 c4 pawn setups and the e4 pawn setups. I normally open Nf3 and gambit the C pawn move 2 to d5 even if they play the stockfish line and push the pawn you can play b4 then b5 when they move their e pawn and fianchetto the kingside bishop with really easy play with the same moves every time and if they take its money and if they tranpose to QGD or Slav typa stuff you still have option to play many lines.

I like d4 but to start I would say e4 is great. I used to play e4 for a long time and it taught me a lot about chess. I switched to d4 though because I like the positions better but without playing e4 I would have missed out on a lot of good experience.
In terms of which one is better, I'd say neither. They are both kind of equally good in my opinion.

Is 1. e4 or 1. d4 a better first move? what do u think?
