1 second per pre-move

I have a ping of 41ms which is quite good. I see that for other users a pre-move costs 0 seconds and many moves 0 seconds. For me a pre-move is 1 second just because chess.com... I play on chess24 and lichess and I do not have same issue.

I often move when 1s on clock with 1s increment and I lose on time

Pre-moves cost 0.1 seconds here on chess.com.

No moves cost 0 seconds. You might be confusing lag adjustments with pre-moves.

Seems legit. Thank you @justbefair for the explanation.

Can you please give me some hints, if possible to improve my chess.com network communication ?

To add a context. I improved hardware to: i7-12th gen 2.8GHz/core, 8core, SSD NVMe, internet 1Gb/s and reached a ping range of 4-8ms on lichess. On chess.com is exactly the same as before. No improvement.

And just FYI what is mostly disturbing: when you see you have more time on the clock and all of a sudden is like your opponent has stolen your time.

Any suggestion is much appreciated. Thank you!
