blitz rating = your real rating + 500

Here is how you get to 2000+ live blitz on chess.com

does this site have the most inflated rating pools

people on this site hang too many pieces

I hung pieces in over 50% of my last games

Real rating = live blitz + 200

Here is how I improved from 1300 live blitz to 2000 live blitz in 10 days

live blitz on here is a joke

If your live blitz is below 1800, you're worse than a beginner

YADA YADA YADA...

Are you his alt account? Why give obvious troll even more attention?

ESP-918

His just a kid, let him have fun .Obviously, his jealous that some people having 2000+ ratings here and in real life , when he can't even reach 15 hundred , so he uses an engine, someones help to feel better about himself, not realising that he is still dilution and in real life just a kid who can't play chess.

Don't be angry at him , it's like being angry at someone who can't walk

Truth_in_Ruin
I kinda feel bad for him. Hopefully he'll be able to shake that inferior Napoleon complex off at some point.

But what a number!

Yet all of what he said is true.

None of what he said is true.

From his user name alone (uscf1500 guy) you can already tell it's a troll / non-serious account.

Diakonia

Its an online rating.  It means...NOTHING.

An onli(n)e blitz rating where youre winning games with .01 seconds left, and 5 pieces down isnt exactly something to brag about.

How does it differ from OTB blitz where you're winning games with .01 seconds left and five pieces down?

The vast majority of games don't end this way of course. Plenty end being ahead on the board and the clock.

Anyway, higher blitz rating = higher skill, obviously.

If you think it's arbitrary, then you should be able to e.g.

1) increase your blitz rating 500 points at will
2) help a lower rated player do the same
