For anyone curious: the biggest change was consistency, reviewing games, sticking to two openings, and not chasing quick wins. Just learning, little by little.
1800 finally did it!! wow what a journey!

This is my goal too. I am ~1400 rated. I am sticking to two openings too: KIA with White and KID with Black (i do not play the same, but very similar systems).

And i stopped chasing quick wins! And then i started winning…. Once, twice, three times, four times, five times right now.

Yes I've got two similar systems for white and black, keeps it solid without investing lots of times memorising opening theory

Nice work! I got 1700 rapid recently but your 1800 makes me feel I need to step up my game! 🤣 Great job man, keep going
here am I stuck on 800 anyways I started chess just 6 or 7 months ago anyway I will also read a lot of books by the way congratulations to the players who got to 1800
One year ago, I was rated 1350. Today, I broke 1800 Rapid for the first time.
A lot of quiet study. A lot of slow improvement. A lot of games where I wanted to quit.
But I kept showing up, and it added up.
