The only reason i was slaming on e4 becauseI was an frequent user of e4 and look at were that got me. I also like d4 beacause it leads into a queens gambit and the queens is one of the most reliable openings in chess. And i am also a more tactical person then most other people.

If you're really tactical, play 1. f4

Generally 1.e4 leads to a more tactical game and 1.d4 gernerally is more positional.
