I see it happen at the start of most of my games as well. It has gotten to the point where I expect it so I try to let them think that they are going to get away with it until their final move. Frequently they don't have a plan on what to do next.
The queen will be hanging out there by that point, just waiting to be kicked around by a knight, or bishop. You can develop your side while their queen runs away.4-move checkmate

It stops occurring once you reach opponents of about 1600~. All I can say is to just get better man, sorry to say. If you think so lowly of the opening then why aren't you taking more advantage of it and raising your rating to a point where you won't see it anymore?

I don't get upset when I see the 'Fools Mate' attempt, I laugh. I am not a higher rated player... but I NEVER open with that. When I see it, I comment on it: "The Fools Mate? Really?" - then I drop it. If you point it out, maybe they will learn how it is the first series of moves most beginning chess players use.
I have seen the same combination tried in the middle of the game... I sort of admire a player that does that.
I know some great players who will open with that series after they have defeated the same opponent numerous times. In that case I think it is either intended to be an insult, or a test on just how bad their opponent realy is.
I don't know where to put this, sorry if it's in wrong place. I want to talk about 4-move checkmate, you know with queen and bishop. It's like in most of the games I played so far, my opponents always did it. I mean big part of them, no matter what range they are. I don't want to offend anyone, but I'm kinda tired of this kind of play. I was doing that when I first learned chess. I don't think anyone would buy it anymore.
In every new game I start, it makes feel drop the game and resign when I see that opening. I'm really tired of this. I want to hear some thoughts about this, thanks in advance.
