Hello Dinesh!
I believe there is no harm with teaching your child opening moves and helping him along this chess career, so to speak. I think that the logical skills required for chess can be easily applied to other subjects, whether academic or otherwise, and can only help a developing child grow and flourish.

Need your view and advise based on my son(Dhruva) game. He is 4 year old and loves to play chess. We both parent love chess and follow all chess tournament of chess star.
on this day he plaed 3 game with 3 different opponent 10,11,12 year old kids and won all of them. But we were liked his this game as it was very tense and interesting game.
Below is the youtube link if you would like to see the game : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg9Lnc7Tj5c
Basically we teach him chess at home only. He solve puzzel from chessmaster and chess app.
We need your input how we should progress further. He is aware of all chess tatics like fork, skewer, discover attack as you can see in this match. But we feels like its not the right age to learn chess opening yet.
Tournament co-ordinator were very pleased and suggested us the online mentor but we feels he would not be comfortable for online training at this age.
Please advise. Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Dinesh
