You have to press the Draw button to claim a draw.
5-Fold Repitition?

No, the game will automatically draw after 5 repetitions.
News to me, never had that happen before.

FIDE changed its rules recently. Maybe the site is following this change, which is actually good news.
According to the rule, you can claim a draw upon a 3-fold repetitions, but you have to meet some conditions to do so (study the FIDE rules for more information)
On the other hand, if the same position actually repeats 5 consecutive times in a game (for example, on moves 80, 82, 84, 86, 88) - it's automatically a draw, nobody has to claim anything.
Let's look at the 50 move rule alongside this:
50 move/75 move rule: a draw is claimable after 50 moves without progress, but is only forced if the game stalls for 25 more.
3-fold/5-fold repetition: exactly the same thing- 3 is claimable, 5 forced.

This thread is 9 years old. If not back then, now it is an automatic draw in all time controls when the third repetition of position is made.
Blitz chess on this site uses 5-fold repetition. Why does it use this rule when the accepted value is 3?
