80 Per Cent Tactics

Hello everyone, 

I've just created a new club here on chess.com for members who score 80 % or above in the Tactics Trainer. This is to encourage everyone (myself included) to focus on correctness and percentage, rather than rating. After all, just one incorrect move in a game can lose the game, so I think this is a good idea.  

So, if your tactics percentage is 80 % or higher, feel free to join the 80 Per Cent Tactics Club.

I forgot to mention that the idea is to simply reset your tactics score every time it drops below 80 %.  I was close to 1600, but my percentage dropped too low, so now I am starting all over, from 800.  

I hope others will join me in this endeavor.

I'm 82% and am a Diamond member so I can do as many tactics as I want, but I don't do as many here as elsewhere because many of the problems here are ridiculously simple and I don't want to waste my time on them, get only a point or so for each one of a bunch because I didn't solve each one in 7 seconds, then get docked 15 points because I made a weaker-but-winning move on move 4 of a 5-move tactic.  Chess.com played with the scoring algorithm last year and ratings went ridiculously high, then they returned to just goofy again.

82 % is good. Few people are above 80 %, as far as I can see. I think it's good to lose points for not finding the optimal move.
