950 Rapid - 2900 puzzles

My puzzle rating is 3 times higher than my rapid. I’m 15, been playing my whole life, but I have a processing speed disorder and a horrible memory. Does my puzzle rating reveal the ability I deserve(not actually 2900) or am I just good at tactics.

I was about to tell you that I can help you, but I see you managed to increase your elo by +950 the last few months...

I have the same problem.. I have only 1100 in Blitz and 1400 in rapid , but I have 2750 puzzle rating.. if someone would like to help me..

There are two important things to keep in mind with puzzles...

1) In a puzzle, you already KNOW that a tactical solution exists and that all you need to do is find it. You have been given the critical position, and you KNOW that it's the critical position. In an actual game, nobody warns you that this position is make-or-break and that a forced win exists.

2) In a puzzle, you are only expected to do half the job... find the win. In an actual game, you are expected to FIRST outplay the opponent and CREATE a winning position, and THEN find the win.

Perhaps you are good at finding the tactical solution, but bad at either (1) situational awareness, figuring out when a win is there to be found, or (2) outplaying the opponent and creating a won position... it is only in won positions that winning tactical solutions will be found.

some of them require positional understand , but the idea is I always find myself into slow, positional games or in games where the pieces are dropped very fast leading to a endgame.
