a Different Board

I really like that, it seems like a great way to incorporate the total board perspective of online chess. And it is beautiful!

Does that mean it is going to be incorporated into Chess.com as a new selectable board option? It looks pretty classy.

It's very attractive. It's hard on pieces, though, to be left out all the time, so the display shouldn't be long term, at least for pieces one wishes to preserve.

Heat/cold and humidity swings all work on the wood. Keeping pieces boxed up ameliorates this. It's Frank's (of HOS) advice as well.

I agree the rectangular "squares" are somewhat disconcerting. I'd also opt for square "squares." The wood might be birch, clear and stained, to resemble maple and mahogany.

Tuning isn't playing, but it a necessary skill for a player.
"Do you play Beatles songs?" Just "Lovely Rita, Meter Maid."

Wich kind of music do you play? Classical? I play Blues and Beatles

Maybe more a Paul Simon or Emily Saliers style, though there's noting wrong with Joni Mitchell other than she thinks Bob Dylan is devoid of talent.

I've noticed these as well. I think they are pretty neat actually. If you like classic position setups, either from famous games, or perhaps some from your own memorable games. You could set them up, and it would be just like a picture. Great idea in my opinion.
I would also like Squares though. It is interesting that they chose rectangles, lol. BTW, whats your favorite song BG ?
This is a wall-mounted vertical or "straight up" chess board. It's sort of reminiscent of a demonstration board, but could serve as both a 2D game board and an interactive art piece.
I've seen it for sale HERE and HERE with directions for building your own HERE.
