A fairer game if blacks first turn is two moves?

Do you think that the odds would even out if black moved twice his first turn?

Surprisingly, though this would seem like an obvious consideration, a Google search gave me nothing.

Strangemover

Would this not just mean that black had 'become' white and the slight advantage of moving first had swapped to the other side?

Strangemover is correct. The advantage for white is that it has an extra tempo to develop pieces and take the initiative. Black moving twice doesn’t even the playing field, it just gives black the tempo plus the ability to act in a coordinated manner since white has revealed part of its plan.

I think the offset would be made even worse, giving the advantage to black. Guesstimate of a 1.25 move advantage for black.
