I am a GM as in Generally Mediocre. My days are whatever. I work, I play, I hit the hay.

I wake up about 8 am.  Walk to the local cafe (I live in Paris).  After enjoying an espresso I head back to my loft apartment by the Champs-Elysees.  I study chess for about an hour, then I typically go to the gym before lunch.  I usually have my Michelin trained chef make me a 4 course meal for lunch, then I have my tutoring session with Caruana for 45 minutes.  After I'm done tutoring him, I play on chess.com for a bit and maybe study chess for another 30 minutes or so.  Then I usually spend the evening with my supermodel girlfriend before another hard day of work the next day.

My speculation is:

1.Study opponent's games and prepare specific preperation against them.

2.Brush up on their endgame technique and calculation.

3.Use Chessbase's features to most efficiently discover novelties in their chosen opening systems, speculate on what would make specific opponents uncomfortable while still being sound (related to number 1.)

4.Group practice sessions, for endgame positions from Informant's ECE or Averbakh's CCE set the timers to half a minute per side to practice how to convert a win or secure a draw in time trouble.
