I just began my woodpecker method training!

I also bought Silman's Endgame Course!

I just sank 3 hours last week (Disappointing, I'll aim for 30) for woodpecker 1, I'm on puzzle 200.

And I just started reading the Silman book, how far should I read into the Silman book?

(Unr-2400) I'm 1600 for reference.

yes, you’re most likely above average in growth

yes, you can probably get 1st place if there are no masters

also I take offence from that last sentence, I read the whole thing

FROM TAGZAA, HE GOT MUTED RIGHT BEFORE HE POSTED.

(I wish I could go to an OTB tourney, too bad idk where to start (besides being turned down by my mom lmao.)

ask for a chess book first, read it, then ask her.

might work.

first I have 3 (Silman's complete endgame course - read c1, How to reassess your Chess 4th Ed - 90 pages ing, and How to win at Chess - currently paused at a little past half so that way I can catch up with the qr codes). Second my mom is not a ppl person. third she hates having to drive. Four im 700 so granted ik where to start.. (get a better rating so that way I can be satisfied with my OTB rating). five my mom would NOT trust me. six I'm kinda in trouble rn so it would have to wait anyway. seven I show some dedication to improving.

Tilting is normal. Forget it.

I just lost to a 900 today but beat a 1700. Don't worry about it.

Keep up the hard work!

1522 fide is really good in only a year ( considering you are not magnus or other prodigy ). Chess for many takes years to master and you are already 1500, trust me, i took a long time getting to 1700.

uscf...

that's like 1650 FIDE

my mom would not trust me to make smart choices... (I mean the tourney typically takes maybe a day right?)

half a day, like a school day usually.

if it's 3 games, then it takes 3-4 hours only.

it's better than you think, also it's a good way for your mom to exercise!

(i mean like walking during games)

You said you receive coaching from two NMs. Ask them how you are doing. They will have a better idea than any stranger.

Nice work! Sadly I don't have the chance to go to OTB tournaments, you are lucky, because in the USA there are tons of USCF tournaments....
