I don't want to insist, but the overall rapid average keep decreasing everyday...
it was 776 when I open this thread just 6 days ago... on 26 M players is a CRAZY effect. It means that the main part of the players in chess.com is not able anymore to keep it own ranking.
Back when the site moved from a 1200 starting rating to the ability to choose a skill level, the vast majority of new members I checked were starting in the lower tiers. If enough if them are playing Rapid, and their chosen level was relatively accurate or too high, that can have an impact.
We all know that the two score system are different and usually the gap should be around 300-400 points.
Why should it be 300 or 400 points?
