I think there is a problem with the "aborted games" policy on chess.com....I did a thread on a not quite the same...but similar subject
https://www.chess.com/forum/view/general/how-can-you-lose-a-game-with-4-43-left-in-a-5-minute-game
I suppose they will justify this by saying he didn't make a move...but if he just let his time run out ?? very strange that he didn't lose the game....in the ones I talked about in my thread...they aborted the games for me after a few seconds..and recorded a loss for me ?!
ps beware the whining antiwhiners ...they come along and tell you off for "whining" about a game...but they do more whining than anyone else lol
I am kind of frustrated. I just matched up with a guy who was rated about 100 points lower than me. I played my move, and he offered me a draw, which would have lost me 5 points. I obviously declined, and he let his time run out. The game aborted, and I gained no points. He lost none. He had offered a draw, but just did not play a move. Am I being ridiculous, or should the player have lost some points for that? I mean he offered a draw before even moving.
