The following is an example of the type of abusive behaviour taking place on Chess.com. What if anything are the moderators doing about this type of conduct?

LOL, that's genuinely funny. Give the guy a break (IMO). If it gets to you just ignore it and don't let it get to you.

You can just disable chat.

They should clearly make a chat filter that filters out spaces and other signs, except alphanumeric ASCII, there's even a PHP function that transforms UTF-8 unicode characters into similar looking ASCII ones.

Then they should check if the sentence contains said words.

You can search the line for each "banned" word you have in your list. While doing that you can swap out numbers for characters like 3 = E, 4 = A, 7 = T, 5 = S, et cetera.

I hope I have made a contribution. I know this won't be implemented.
