Accused of cheating for using premoves

Yesterday, I beat someone in a 1 minute bullet game. I had around 20 seconds on my clock when their flag fell. Inevitably, this guy called me a clock cheat, which I found ridiculously funny as I'd just been beaten by the same margin. He continued to lambast me, saying it was unfair to use resources unavailable to him. I informed him using premoves was part of bullet chess and if he didn't use it he would never have much luck. This only incensed him further. He then spammed my wall, digging into old posts I made, and generally behaving like a very good troll. What is your opinion of premoving and of those who don't use it?

I think it's great thing if you have a sequence of pretty forced moves, like pushing a pawn down to queen.  However, in more fluid situations, I find it embarassing when I guess wrong on my opponent's move and serve up my pieces to be taken.

You should just ignore your opponent's tirade and delete the posts on your profile.  Tell the person that you will report them for abuse if they don't stop.

What's funny is it appears he is now using premoves himself, as his rating has shot up over 100 points. I'm actually laughing!

were you being psychic in your move suggestions?

I know an old lady who swallowed a cow
I don't know how she swallowed the cow
She swallowed the cow to catch the goat
She swallowed the goat to catch the dog
She swallowed the dog to catch the cat
She swallowed the cat to catch the bird
She swallowed the bird to catch the spider
That wriggled and jiggled and tickled inside her
She swallowed the spider to catch the fly
But I don't know why she swallowed that fly

Are there really people who play blitz and bullet who don't? That's crazy.

Even OTB blitz moves will happen faster than the clock and it's realistic and fun.

When it comes to 1-minute I acknowledge that time is one of the main weapons in winning, and therefore, I freely acknowledge the chess I play will be poor, even ridiculous at times. One of the best ways to win in the final seconds is to constantly throw pieces at, or near an opponent's king, to disrupt his premoves. If you can get your king to a quiet corner, it's entirely possible to move back and forth to win. It's obvious when an opponent doesn't have premoves on. They usually lose on time by a mile. Of course, as soon as you get up over 1300 this becomes a lot less apparent.
For 3-minute blitz, time is less of a factor, but it's still important, and not having premoves can be disadvantageous.

premoves are awesome

because it is allowed

and not against the rules
