As a side note to chess.com, have you considered limiting the quota further for premiums (e.g. 4 for gold, 3 platinum 2 diamond) to really get the benefit of each tactic?
Advice to tactics enthusiasts: don't upgrade

There are some guys out there that play a lot of tactics to really test themselves, its a sort of competition

Before I became a paying member here, I almost exclusively used another site: I love the user-friendliness and learning opportunities of the tactics at chesstempo.com.
You don't have to agonizingly go through so hundreds of easy tactics that you get over 90% right just to progress 100 points or so in rating. And there are excellent comments that usually explain what's wrong with the alternative solution you found.
Earlier this week I upgraded my account (may I be forgiven) with a crappy exchange rate. One reason was to take advantage of the expanded tactics trainer limit, as I really think it helps to focus on a position (knowing there is a good combination) and spot recurring patterns.
However, 25 puzzles takes a lot longer than 5 and time is limited so instead of thinking for long I rush to make a move, then decide "nevermind, I'll get the next one."
So unless you are a NM or have the willpower of an enduroman competitor, don't upgrade
