I was playing this chick, really high rated, and suddenly this metal man with a german accent starts asking her questions.
Turns out admitting to be sarah connor was a bad choice for her. I won on time.

the question is not where is arnold from, but rather where did he get his accent..
probably still austria tho , so yeah...
When I was rated 1389 USCF I beat a USCF 2021. He WAY underestimated me, not really thinking about the fact that I was a scholastic player (only played in 1 tourney per year, so my rating actually reflected my skills from ONE YEAR before). Then I played the King's Gambit, and he responded FAST and SLOPPY... and found himself outplayed - we were playing on a 90 minute time control each, and at the breakpoint, where he lost a rook, he had used 2 or 3 minutes tops, and we were WAY out of book. Just goes to show not to judge a player by the rating without knowing the details. Cool thing was he was cool about it and we did analysis in the skittles room afterward of my other games from the tourney and his other games.

so the Arbiter never found a problem with a dead chic at the chessboard and blood splattered all over the place huh?!
where the heck was this tournament?! lol

my opponent wasnt so nice about it though
I won in a simul against some hungarian GM who's name I don't remember, at the time he was just below 2500.

Wow, you don't remember the name of a GM you beat? I would not only have gotten the name, but taken a picture and had the GM autograph it!
It was at sziget festival and my memory ofthe events during that week are a bit hazy.
I don't even remember the game, just that it was a french defense.
Also won against some WGM who I got a draw against the following year's festival and drew a IM and an FM, there were daily simuls.
The simuls were very informal, no clock no scoresheet.
Against all Odds. I love that movie. Rachel Ward falls in love with a Priest
and ends up with a Drummer instead. What a classic.
Against all Odds(alternative review). Such a painful waste of time, that a horribly dull Phil Collins song haunted supermarket muzak for decades. Said to be the reason why many pro-suicide websites came into existence.
This is my best win, from a ratings standpoint. At the time, the guy was 700+ points higher than me. The cherry on top was his accusation of cheating, in spite of blunders by both of us.

what is the biggest upset you have ever pulled over a chessboard? that is, the highest rated opponent you have defeated! wether in overtheboard chess or virtual chess.
was it a fluke? what exactly happened tell me about it!
