Aimchess visualization practice

Has anyone else had a problem with the visualization practice problems on aimchess.com? They have problems that require "Capture all [white/black] pieces with your [white/black] [queen/bishop/rook/knight] by doing consecutive moves and not using occupying squares". No matter how I move the piece, I get the response "incorrect". I have send several emails to aimchess support, and reported the problems as bugs many, many times using their bug report, but nothing has changed. If you know how to solve these visualizations, please let me know.

Same!

Hello, I have the same problem.

FrankAbagnale-Sr

For this problem I have cancelled my subscription. No support whatsoever. I think this is abandonware. Chess.com should do something about it!

FrankAbagnale-Sr

Is this solved yet?

I emailed support@aimchess.com again. A member support specialist replied with "We are sorry for the inconvenience. I have forwarded it to our team..." It is apparently a real person. However, still no fix, and still no other reply. At least I know it's not just me!

FrankAbagnale-Sr

Thank you very much for your reply. Very strange because this worked in the past. Maybe I am going to ask them again. I can hardly imagine that they cannot fix this but why don't they?

dgoadchs

Probably not a priority for them, but it is for me. You might try https://www.chessvis.com. It is a site that the developers are still improving, but they started it for people to get visualization practice.

I am now around 2000 -2025 but I think visualization is a very good way to improve. Also blindfold chess. Thank you!

The issue still exists. Today I got "Capture all Black pieces with your White Rook by doing consecutive moves and not using occupying squares" on this position: FEN "1k6/8/p2K4/2R5/8/8/5b2/8 w - - 0 1". As there is no immediate capture Ra5, Rc2, Rc6 or Rf5 come to mind, but all fail the exercise.

FrankAbagnale-Sr

Strange that this isn't solved yet. Looks like abandonware if Chess.com does't fix this which would be very disappointing.

FrankAbagnale-Sr

Is this solved yet? It is now months ago that this was mentioned.

I just encountered the same problem.

abishkarpuri

What to do with this problem?

dirrindo

Try restart the computer

abishkarpuri

Tried that, but hasn't been solved, any idea to fix this?

FrankAbagnale-Sr

If they fix this problem I think Aimchess is worth something to look at but I don't think anyone is working on Aimchess nowadays. Maybe I ask a friend at chess.com staff to look into this.

LegoBorealis

just got this same issue right now (June 2024)

FrankAbagnale-Sr

Any news yet? I really think this is abondonware as I mentioned a year ago.
