Alternative Game Scoring

A number of years ago, I remember reading that Lasker proposed a scoring system based on the number seven. For example, a win for black would score as seven points for black and zero for white. A win for white was scored as six points for white and one for black. Draws were scored as 4-3 for black. A bare king and stalemates were also covered. I do not not remember the reference, but it may have been the first edition of The Oxford Companion to Chess.

Does this sound familiar to anyone, and if so, what was the scoring system?

Thank you in advance for any information.

Never heard of this proposal from Lasker. It sounds accurate but too complicated. Let's just leave chess as it is.
