I am 1300 rated on rapid and I think I can make 1500. I joined in 2020. Is this good compared to most other players and is 1300 good for 4 years of chess playing? I started around the 500 level
the statistical average rating is around 650

1300 is a good rating and significantly better than most but for 4 years of playing, not really. But it all depends on how seriously you take it, just playing and not studying, I guess it is average for that time frame.

Short answer, yes! You're better than most chess players out there. Maybe you could be higher rated after 4 years, but I don't know how frequently you play, how and if you study. Honestly, any upward progress is good and you should be proud of yourself.

1300 is okay, but for 4 years of playing, I think that is pretty bad tbh
