Cd someone explain the display of analysis in openings please? The frequency of moves in various lines is obvious but is this based on games in Chess.com's database, Chess.com's existing games or something else? Also what do the colours signify, black, grey and white, good for black, even and good for white? Thanks.

The default database is one of master games. The colors are the game outcomes. White is percentage of games won by white, gray is percentage of games drawn, black is percentage of games won by black.

As mentioned, the opening explorer is based on a chess.com DB of master's games.  The ratio's show the outcome of games with that particular move played, however, the most telling number is the number of games where that move was played.
