I’ve noticed that when I analyze a game, if I ask the game to show me the best moves for a certain part, it will do so but then it will sometimes say, “mistake,“ about its own moves. 🤔 I guess there are two software going on at the same time.
I think the term is horizon effect. The program looks ahead say 6 or 7 moves and calculates; then if you give it a bit more time and it looks 8 or 10 moves ahead, something else looks better.
