Anand lost a game. Should be stripped of his world champion status?

This is in response to all the bizarre posts about Carlsen losing and whether it means he's not really worthy to challenge Anand in November. OMG, nobody says anything when Anand loses (more than Carlsen).

MJ4H

Anand isn't as handsome.

(I got nothin)

ROFL,Im sure people are just trolling when they say Carlsen doesnt deserve a shot becoz he lost 1 game. How many games does Anand lose?A hell lot more than Carlsen. He wud've been stripped of his title a 100 times had this rule been applied.

Conflagration_Planet

Not only stripped of his title, but whipped in public whether he likes it or not.

MrDamonSmith

Whether he likes it or not. That's funny. What are the chances of him liking it? Oh yes, just like that, oh, right there. Something like that?

You never know about things like that. :)

Nobody say that Anand is the supergenius of chess, better than Capablanca, Kasparov and Karpov together, that's why there aren't posts about Anand loses. Maybe Carlsen's fanboys are guilty of this threads in some way.

MrDamonSmith

Maybe be should be spanked too.

Beyond me.Beat him soundly ( eddysallin vs. Anand  5/5/13) and little was said one way or another.....Counts in tittle games only i guess.Wish him the best....

My thoughts exactly. I have nothing against Carlsen, he is a superb player and his game with white against Gelfand at the Candidates gave me goosebumps, but I cannot stand his fans.

People have many times said Anand is an incredible chess genius (aka supergenius). The rest they haven't said about Anand, but they also don't say it about Carlsen either.

It's just that whenever somebody states the obvious fact that Carlsen is the strongest player in the world at the moment, some fools invariably start whining about "Endgame tricks" and "cheap tricks", how Carlsen wins by psychology, how he gets his rating just by beating up on weak players (and simultaneously they argue that he only gets points by avoiding open tournaments, because he would lose to the same weak players in an open tournament that he unfairly gets his rating points from in closed tournaments), and all the other conspiracy theories they devise to avoid acknowledging the obvious.

Silly. Surprised

would mild electrocution help for lost games?

Maybe they could rig it up so that when a computer determined that a blunder was made, they would receive an electric shock, that got progressively stronger with each successive blunder.

People nowadays expect WC candidates to win and drew only... they are after all only humans.

bean_Fischer

Now, he lost twice. So he has to be stripped twice. Who wants to be the stripper?
