He's under judicial control awaiting trial. He isnt at all released, its just more worth it to get him for his crimes later.

If he is guily the judge will decide how he will get punished. Probably with time in jail. That is the punishment...... If the judge decides to also ban his chess.com account that can also be the punishment.
But ban a user for the things he did in real life? And also ban him for buying a car, going to the supermarket, having a holiday, reading a book etcetera etcetera??? I don't think we should get into that direction....
It might have had something to do with his username. Refer to chess.com's past stance on this. https://www.chess.com/article/view/on-the-invasion-of-ukraine. I have been away for a while, so I don't know if things have changed at chess.com.
Or it might have something to do with the only game played on that account. 98.2% accuracy. Alright, that can happen, nothing strange in that. Pretty much all his moves are top engine lines, and a couple are the next best lines. Then look at his time usage. In a 10-minute game, most of his moves are 2-3 seconds, and a single one is 5 seconds. Idk, he might just be used to blitz. But taking into consideration the accuracy, the engine lines, and the very consistent time management, it is quite likely that the account was closed for, you know, the reason mentioned, fair play. If it had been for another reason, like the Russia thing, or his irl charges, it would probably be under community guidelines.
The account Putinwillwin was previously owned by Tate, his username was changed either by himself or by Chess.com themselves, likely for the reasons mentioned regarding Ukraine. The subsequent owner of the Putinwillwin username has no association with the original account, owned by Tate, as the user ID is completely different.
