Any Tips For A Beginner?

When you are  seated in front of your computer  playing  a game of chess please be sure that you are sitting on your hands.  It will save you from blunders. 

If you are  going  to play blitz or 5 minute chess the sitting on your hands rule, does  not apply.

I think it's actually a good tip. You get to think once more before you make a move. Thinking once more, even when you are sure you've found a best move, yields you better results.

OculorumAcies is telling the truth.  That extra second that it takes for  you to remove your hand from under your leg to reach for your mouse saves you from making a blunder.
