I just reached bullet 1400, and my next goal is rapid 1500. I do these: i always do puzzles before playing (i am premium member). i always blunder check, i use confirm move setting. I always stop playing after i lose.

Oof blundering check isn’t good. To improve you want to yeah keep doing puzzles and also look at where every piece is before you move then see if that move is fully safe

@Lion57834 you don't like blunder check? I see that on your elo, you are a 200s! Try blunder check, that lifted me from <1000 to 1400!

And also i use a special method for blunder check, a hungarian method. In hungarian, it is called SÜTI (which means cookie), and it stands for Sakk Ütés Támadás Iktatás, which means in hungarian "Check Take Attack Interposition".

I suggest working a little on your openings if you haven't already. Playing openings you like and are familiar with can make the resulting middlegame positions more pleasant to play.

Also study some endgames. You will be reaching more and more endgames at this rating, so be prepared for them.

Good luck with 1500 rapid! happy.png

You aren't playing enough, play two games a day and then review them. Try to remember your mistakes and what worked for future. Stick with the same opening for white and same for black. That alone will take you to 1800

@crusaderking777 i was working with bullet 1400, i'll start working on rapid 1500 tomorrow. And also 2 games is not enough. I'm going to play as much as i can win, if i lose, then i'll stop and i will analyse my games.

@h15h, with white i always open with e4. My favorite opening is Giucco Piano, the Italian. For Sicilian, i do not have a plan…. With black, for e4 i play e5. For d4 i play d5.

@Fetorenczi For the Sicilian, I personally like the Alapin because it is less theory-intense, but feel free to check out other variations.

You can probably find a lot of good opening tutorials on youtube.

you ask for help, and then you ignore everyone and go with your opinion...

You should be learning new concepts. Tactics practice is good, and the other stuff you do is good, but it's hard to play better if you don't know how to play better. I recommend watching Naroditsky on youtube. You can just watch half of a video while you eat or something.

I wouldn't quit after a single loss. You may still be in good form. I would only quit playing in a session if you felt like stopping, not in good form, or tilting/sensing tilt.

Other advice I'd give is to try puzzle rush every now and then. Even if just once a week. Either the timed ones or puzzle rush survival; both have their benefits, but doing puzzle rush as a premium member is a good idea. You might as well use it since you have access to it.
