What do you mean? I just started playing Chess 1 week ago, and I have never even been close to that! I see you are a very experienced Rapid player with many games, do you have any tips for a new player like me?

bigshortsoup68

I am 800, and the advice that I give to 200s prob. won't work for you, as you are 5 times better than me, so good luck!

dont play for rating.

How do I do that?

analist76bis

books, video, analyse each game, get a real online or face to face trainer

Well, I look at some of their games and give them basic advice, like stop hanging your pieces, if you move a piece you have to be able to explain why you are moving it, and stuff like that, I look at their games too, and follow up in dms if you really want I could do that, but it will be really weird to coach someone twice my rating.

Make sure to analyze every game, especially a loss, and learn something from it. Solve puzzles regularly if you lose mainly due to tactics. Learn your opening lines deeper if you often get disadvantageous positions in the opening. It's not like there's a special trick. Since you're already close, you'll soon reach there if you keep grinding regularly. Don't worry about tilting, from my experiences my rating always boosted right after dropping severely.

What are you talking about?

You started another thread were you want your first account unbanned. On that account you were well above 2000.

Get your record straight.

Are you saying your first time at playing chess was one week ago, and that you're already above 1900 ELO? If that's the case, then, respectfully, you're lying.

@bigshortsoup68, I agree with you. I also get very nervous in rapid games, and my rating has dropped 150-plus points in just a week. I just randomly blunder for no reason. Maybe you should try to care a little less about elo and just play the game! If your too nervous, try practicing unrated rapid games, where you play players in time controls u want, just toggle the rating button off, in the custom challenge section. I am sure you are an amazing chess player, maybe even better than 2,000. I understand what your going through because I am going through the same right now. I had a previous account that peaked at 2050, but i closed it for the same reason, because I kept going down, I was really nervous and scared all the time.

Well not your own technically... Your just clicking the square

If your peak is 2100 on your old account it should be easy to reach within a couple weeks just play enough games

whatzeheavens

whatzeheavens

He probably cheated or something so nvm
