Those problems are probably from V2... I'm pretty sure V3 isn't even on the server yet....

An update on the problems with deleting messages - I've just received a reply from the staff to my report...
Dear stephen_33,
I’m very sorry about this. This is a known issue that we are working on. Currently the messaging system needed to be updated for the upcoming release of version 3 of Chess.com. Soon the messages will auto delete, but for now, unfortunately we cannot delete them.
I appreciate your patience and understanding while we try to make Chess.com better!

So it looks as if we're going to have to wait for the V3 upgrade before these problems get fixed. 
Yet it hasn't even come out yet!
Nope, it is not from V2. No one had any problems until now

That clown's current username is gone but he seems to keep popping up everywhere with different usernames.
The delete button has disappeared from my messages and I can only click "Archive". Is this happening to everyone else?

Yes, and some of the ones I tried to delete a few days ago and couldn't are gone now.
So put them in archive. Its the new way of deleting.
No they delete themselves.
Archive is meant for messages you want to keep
Why does that make sense?? Print is for messages you wanna keep. Am I deslyxic ??
Okay, now random messages are spontaneously disappearing!
I am having an issue deleting them...
