i bought a new chess clock (old ahd display issues) and didnt realize its a NOT for north american players. The tournament time I need is 50 min 5 sec. delay. Now their is Bronstein with set delays (30 sec and so) but i cant set a custom delay time when setting a overall custom time. The instuctions dont help much and the call no. is a number i cant dial so i have to assume i cant change it. BUT what i can do is set on 50 minute with no delay; which would not be noticed until it ticks down past 10 minutes and u notice it in between notation writing. So the question is do u think TD and players would notice or care??

What clock is it? It might be that it can be set correctly but may not be super obvious how to do it.

That said, if your clock does not support the setting the tourney is using you have to let your opponent know and if there is a clock available that does, that should be used instead.

There appears to be multiple delay times on the default setting (3,10, 20 and 30 seconds) so I couldn't see why you wouldn't be able to define/change that on the custom user options but who knows. I've never had one in hand and the guide isn't really clear on that part.
