I don't know!
Are Chess Players Introvert?
Perhaps across the chessboard is a safe social setting than being out partying. Social games like gambling are for extroverts, who like to risk big money. I for one who don't have money don't have the luxury to be an extrovert and all the exciting risk it entails. Chess, with all its stress, at least doesn't put it to your wallet!
I'm an ENTP by MBTI, though I would say I'm more of an ambivert in a strictly social sense. That said, I am very extroverted compared with chess players I know, so I would say it's an introverts' pursuit in priniciple.
Extroverted players play e4.
Introverted players play d4.
And insane people play c4.
Crap
Nigel Short is quite introverted. Capablanca was gregarious. Paul Morphy was reclusive. Alekhine enjoyed solitude too much. Tal was apparently social , and Fischer was ... Fischer - in another universe.
Yes, most of the great chess players are introverted, as most of the great mathematicians and physicists are.

I am an Introvert and e4 is the first move of my favorite opening
Are chess players introverts? Well, let's just say that chess players have a unique ability to create an entire world inside their heads where they strategize, plan, and plot their moves. It's like they have their own little introvert paradise in the form of a chessboard. So, if you ever meet a chess player, just remember that they might be busy conquering kingdoms in their mind and might not have much energy left for small talk.

And yeah, I don't know about all chess players, but I'm an introverted INFP.
Oh, absolutely not! Chess players are the epitome of extroversion. They spend their days basking in the limelight, surrounded by adoring fans, attending glamorous parties, and engaging in riveting conversations with people from all walks of life. Their social calendars are always packed, and they can't get enough of the constant excitement and attention. They practically live for the thrill of large crowds and the endless stream of social interactions. Chess players are the life of the party, the center of attention, and the masters of extroversion.
Then why am I INTP?
