Are Most Grandmaster Anal-Retentives?

According to some psychiatric theories, people who pay excessive attention to neatness, cleansiness and precision, tend to have grown up in households that punished them severely for soiling their pants when they were little kids....

Assuming that theory is correct, do you think this is true of most chess grandmasters?

My cat started pooping outside her litter box, so I started giving her a treat each time she pooped in the box, now she always poops in her litter box.  But her rating is only 1900, so I guess that doesn't help.

GMs are simply successful at chess.  What success says about one's character, that is a philosophical conjecture or speculation.  The GMs that I have met in person have pleasant dispositions.

My mother never chastised me because of this, and that's probably why I suck in chess....

In my experience, GMs are more relaxed than masters are. They definitely don't take themselves too seriously!

Yes, GM's have never been known or seen to visit a toilet. I think they're more like bears.
