As a member of legends league I can tell you - literally zero benefits, just a hyped up marketing campaign to pump up the site traffic.

Once you make a League it's permanent (according to chess.com rules). Unless you voluntarily "Leave League" if you want to drop it, that or chess.com account closure are the only ways League achievment gets dropped. I made it to Champion playing Rapid 10 games in 5+ weeks, averaging 17+ games per day.
I've never been close to Legend League status or tried for it. I did read that to make it at the current levels (about 2 months ago), you have to play at least a certain number of Bullet, Blitz, or Arena time format/games, shorter than Rapid 10, or you will not earn enough points to advance. I only play Rapid 15-10 & Daily so don't see that happening.

The club had monthly cash prize arenas for a while and will likely have something again in the future.
You get the cool trophy and the achievement

arenas at least double your trophies... i made it to legend league solely by playing 1 0 bullet arenas.
it took me 2,500+ trophies to go from champion to legend league, because i had to shake off one determined adversary (350+ trophies per day).
it would probably be much easier nowadays.

This is my second week in the champion league, last time I got blown out I got second with around 750 trophies, the dude who beat me got over 1000, rn I have like 475 trophies the closest person next to me has about 250, so if I keep playing I should get there this time

i am not sure why there are no more of the arenas. i heard that some people think that there is a cheating crisis. that could be the cause but it is still unkown why. i hope there will be more tournaments soon.
I am In the legends league im in top 10 im 9th Place but, i am not get ANY Benefit i can only access the chess.com club to play tournaments any earn $$$ but ya cheaters cheat the tournemants

I found the sweet spot for gaining points to advance out of Champion League into Legend League (against time spent playing) is Blitz 3 minute. My advice would be play only that. I advanced through all of the other leagues without any problem playing Rapid 10. However to advance from Champion to Legend League play Blitz 3 minute, you earn 9 points per win.
