Well the thing about legend league is that you've played a lot of games, it doesn't say much about your rating it just says you're active often and you play lots.

Ya

after a long gap of playing, I decided to push to legend league. the journey was exciting. after coming to legend league, it feels boring again.

im in gold leauge. and the first person in the leauge is like 1054 or something. like how am i supposed to beat that? its like impossible! and the first place players are like, 800 rated? like what?

leagues are based on how many games you win/draw. Thus all ratings have equal opportunity to progress.

In gold you don't even need to be #1 to progress (unless you mean champion league).

Anyways I remember when leagues first came out. The people to get to legend league had over 10,000 points, lol.

But nowadays there's no benefit to being in legend league anymore.

play bullet ARENAS (they double your trophies) & stay 200 ahead of 2nd... i shot straight through to legend league with this strategy & only had to play about an hour each am & pm. 🥷

It was mentioned in the State of Chess.com broadcast that the site is looking at an overhaul of leagues but what that's ultimately going to look like isn't known.

@heart_of_angel sometimes the copy paste thing works weird in chess.com. I had to highlight your thing to see what you wrote. I get past this by copying the words into windows notepad, and then copying the text from notepad back.

Yeah i know, been on the forums way too much so I know how a copy pasted comment looks like, lol.

You can use the quote method if you're on desktop. It's the quotation mark button to the right of the "11min ago" mark.

Is there any way to detect cheaters

That would be useful - 1/720 players cheat on average in chess.com - im in crystal and i get cheaters left and right

You can click the League icon in your homepage or profile page

I can't see anything

Then you must have left leagues at some point.

You'll only see thome option if Leagues are enabled.

https://www.chess.com/leagues

You can rejoin on that page and it might show your last level on one of the pages linked there even if not joined but I'm not certain.

What about free 1 year diamond membership for players who reached legend league, is it over already or still valid?

Also once we reach legend league , what's next? Do we need to continue playing constantly or.... ? I mean what's the benefits ? I'm just trying to understand current situation, because I don't see any information anywhere what is happening etc.. ...

That was never a thing. The first 200 played that made it to Champion received a diamond membership.

Once a member reaches Legend, they get placed in the Legend club and there will eventually be events and prizes there, but last I knew nothing has been scheduled or announced yet.

oooh...so that's why i got a diamond membership last year.....ah,i was wondering how i got it

Jhankhri

What about a week of Diamond membership, not for reaching the Legend League (which is already the prize for winning in the Champion League), but for each one who wins a weekly tournament in the Legend League? (not a year, because it would be maybe unfair to the people who pay for it... and win in Legend League)

The Leagues contest ended in 2022.

The monthly tournaments in the Legends Club ended in 2023.

The club itself was closed in February.

There is nothing currently going on.
