I'm almost 1600 OTB in regular time controls but have problem breaking 1200 blitz. I either suck at blitz or people here are better at it than me (or some combination).

I read that Chess.com uses the Glicko system, and your club may use ELO, which could account for the difference.

Is your club rating an official Canadian rating or just something your club makes up?
I would expect an active 1400 standard player here to be equivalent to that in national rating.
Maybe you should compare your official rating with standard rating instead of blitz. In blitz you can lose on time, something which has much less chances to happen in long OTB games.
