Seriously though, I've felt a bit peeved watching the occasional game, sometimes at the top level, where the losing player resigns and deprives the winner-by-resignation of a particularly beautiful finish.
I think that even happened in one of the Ding-Nepo WCC games very recently where Ding as white played a pawn move, e5 or something, thereby tightening a mating net to produce what could have been a really lovely finish. Even the chess.com commentary team missed that move.
