It is. Imagine the amount of info the mod has to save. Names, titles, alt accounts, images of documents and photos of him holding a paper to conform its him, and what else.....I visited the Title Verification page a year ago to see the complete requirements after achieving a title if someone achieves it.

I've heard a lot of FOA titles come from cheating - and it's not very hard to get one. Just pay 100 something euros for a membership, reach 1100 rating and you have the "FIDE recognized" title. I hope you realize these titles were just created for money and not for the prestige and honour that OTB titles were created for...

There is direct staff involvement with verifying OTB titles and unless FIDE had a method to link accounts, that would be required for FOA titles, even if the site decided to support them. I can't see FIDE or Chess.com doing it.
