At your level you never resign.
At what point would you resign in a chess game?
I generally resign if down a full rook, a queen for a minor piece, or in a lost endgame. Except if I have a specific mate or stalemate idea I want to play out.
I resign when I feel that I'm dead lost, and I can see exactly how I would win the game if the sides were reversed.
I resign when I know that I could turn the board around and beat Magnus Carlsen so long as my opponent has shown enough that stalemate won’t happen.
I resign as soon as I decide a draw is unlikely, sometimes that's after I blunder a pawn, but usually it's a bit more and the board "doesn't speak to me".
I resign when my opponent is about to promote in the endgame and I’m not even close….
