Who's 3rd at the end?
Adams and Caruana both finished on +1 but Adams got 3rd by virtue of more wins.

Who's 3rd at the end?
Which facts? That throwing a win after having played jawdropping precise chess moves in the last round of a tournament is "typical Carlsen"?
That Adams is not a worthy opponent? Or the fact (ehm, accusation) that Adams threw the game because he's been helping Carlsen recently? That other players did not face Baramidze "the fish.." ?
Come on, drop it.

I never accused anybody of throwing any game..but playing carlsen after having worked for him very recently presents its own psychological problems that are difficult to contend with .
Carlsen, 24 years old, equalizes kramnik & anand on number of supertournament wins (23). Kasparov won 40. Carlsen has a whole career in front of him.
Please?
"wins the event by virtue of choosing the white pieces in armageddon"
Or maybe winning the game had something to do with it? If he had black and drew people would no doubt say he won thanks to only having to draw. But how close it was that Caruana won his game, if he hadn't missed that win against Baramidze the playoff would have been ridiculous, with the first of three playoff matches finished around midnight after almost two hours.

It's called cherry-picking.
It's always about cherry-picking. Unless you give no shit.
Just a few days of rest now before Anand, Aronian and Caruana play their next tournament. Really tough especially for the out of form A's.
Hikaru Nakamura vs Caruana: 3-1
Hikaru Nakamura vs Kramnik: 5-4
Hikaru Nakamura vs Anand: 4-0
Hikaru Nakamura vs Aronian: 5-10
Seems like he can beat them in classical too. When will you get at least one of your facts straight?! Google is so easy... boh!
Not really. 0-11-15 vs MC (or sth like that) is a strong indicator reddit war last year after Zürich was just a word war. In my opinion, Caruana has much more decent chances to actually make the WCC match interesting. I'd say he's the only one apart from Naiditsch that has beaten Carlsen numerous time in the last 2-3 years.
Carlsen consistently wins, or places highly in tournaments, even when not at his best. You cannot have a 2865 rating and not win almost every event you are in. It's pure statistics!
Nakamura is improving rapidly. He is showing a heightened sense of discipline and maturity. He is also most likely motivated to remain the top American above So, and also fend off the likes of Giri. 2800 now beckons for all of them. It will be interesting to see who earns the right to play Carlsen in 2016. Despite claims the World Championship is an anachronism there is no doubt it remains the most captivating event on the calendar. Anand will be hard pressed to win the Candidates again against the current contenders.
