I tried accessing Chess.com for my usual morning chess match on the Shanghai metro this morning and got back this:

What happened?
The owner of this website (www.chess.com) has banned the country or region your IP address is in (CN) from accessing this website.
Of course I have VPN so it doesn't affect me when I have my laptop. But I haven't VPN on my mobile and really need to play chess on the metro. Which I can't. What happened? Why is China banned and when (or if) will it be lifted?
