you are completely missing the point. posts like this--about beating someone who was higher rated--are not at all interesting. there are literally dozens of similar posts every day. what makes you think yours is more 'interesting' than anyone else's? it is obviously interesting to YOU and maybe to a few of your friends. but the broader chess community simply doesnt care when a 1200 player beats a 1500 player. do you seriously not get this?
Just give the guy a break. He found a good win so let him enjoy it.
If you didn’t care; you should of never responded.
The last thing, beginners and intermediate players make up a chunk of the chess segment community so you should refrain from being condescending.
ok, well first of all, chuck (do you mind if i call you chuck?), i never said i didnt care. on the contrary, i care alot. i see people crowing about the fact that the they were able to solve the daily puzzle was "e-z" or put up a posting that they 'solved' it. do we really live in a society that is so hungry for affirmation from complete strangers that we have to start forum threads about beating someone with a rating that is 100 points higher? have we turned into a nation of stuart smally's? finally, with respect to your comment about my being condescending to beginner and intermediate players, that is quite humorous. i myself am a beginner. i played my first chess game less than 6 months ago. that kind of takes the sting out of your argument, no?
You need a break dude. We’re here to talk and celebrate the OP’s game. If you cannot be encouraging or educational, at least be complimentary and leave this forum. Lastly, you don’t speak for or represent society and this is a chess community; get that straight!
hey there is a new thread titled 'who is the greatest threat to magnus carlson's world championship title?' i answerd for you. i said "@iamdecentking. he beat someone rated 1300!!!!"
