Becoming World Chess Champion

Only one American became World Chess Champion during the dominance of the Soviet Chess Machine. He is the eccentric American chess genius Bobby Fischer. For him to become as such, he has to disintegrate the Soviet Machinery by dominating the Candidates' Match in an unprecedented fashion. Nobody, I say it again, nobody has dismantled the Soviet Chess Machine more than RJF! He has no personal coach to study the styles of his opponents. He only has his books to study by himself. Nowadays sources are limitless, computer aided training is common and trainors are everywhere. Bobby would just sit inside his room, study lines, opening theories, styles and approaches of his opponents. When I played one of his games, the Poisoned Pawn Variation of the Sicilian...Wow, it amazes me. i wonder if this variation is still common these days?
