Hi! I can say it is to PRACTICE. (A lot of it!) You can do daily puzzles, puzzle battles, Puzzle Rush, Puzzles, play with other players, and play with bots. And when you finish playing with bots or other players, go to the game review and see what you did well and what you can improve. I know every game is different, but it will it some. I hope this helps! 🙂
Stop chasing openings. Start mastering chess principles. I’ve seen players improve faster this way. Reach out anytime if you want guidance on what actually matters in chess.
where your rating is currently? the best advice is to play slow games. 10/0 or 15/10 at least. Try to understand what it is you're doing - so understand where your pieces are best in the opening phase, why you need to get your king safe etc.
Next is try to ensure that you don't make so many one-move blunders - so implement checking that the square you're moving your piece to isn't attacked, and understanding how the pieces work together (and that moving them has consequences for the others!): don't remove the defenders of your pieces etc.
It's quite hard to give chess advice to absolute beginners, as it's hard to know exactly what will be helpful. So it might be better if you ask some specific questions, things that you currently know you don't understand or regularly get wrong, and I'll try and answer. First off You should start playing rapid first, because in bullet you can make many mistakes. Try to look for discovered attacks. Think what will happen if you play that move or how the opponent will respond. And if you watch dogs youtube shorts don't allways look for sacrfices, just do it if you can see it. Don't trade too much too.
