Beginner asking for advice to improve his chess level

Hello! I have currently taken up chess interest that I have had for several years, at the moment I am 23 years old. I can say that I am a good chess player, but I had obviously been happy if I could raise my skill level. So now we can say that I am at Beginner level, which means that I can name all the pieces, all of the boardnotation etc. I can also win some games on the board, but can not say that all the victories that I achieve is due to thoughtful moves, more to luck maybe. So now I have come here to Chess.com, hoping to improve as a chess player. I also signed up as Premium member, which means I have access to most on this site, including Chess Mentor.

So now I hope that you guys could suggest what I should look at, videos, Chess Mentor, Openings, etc. that I can improve my chess levels. Thanks for the reply.

Go through the beginner study guide (Learn-->Study Plans--> Beginner). It recommends certain videos, chess mentor courses, and tactics for your level. I used it to go from 1200s to the 1400s in a few months.

The  best place to  begin is with this video:

Watch the whole thing.  Get back to me and I will share with you how it ties in with the 5 visualization pattern memory banks that are essential to being a strong player.  I am not a coach.  I don't have a school.

I will simply outline for you the shortcuts for becoming a strong player in 2-3 years.

Study endgmes, solve chess puzzles everyday. For chess puzzle book, try Chess Tactics for Champions. For Endgame book try Pandolfini's Endgame Course.
